Beaches

Although it’s actually only five and a half miles long, the crescent-shaped Seven Mile Beach is one of the most famous stretches of sand in the Caribbean. Cemetery Beach, at its northern end, features some of the best snorkeling in Grand Cayman.

Another great choice is Rum Point, an expansive beach on the north side of Grand Cayman. Lounge in a hammock in the shade of the Casuarina trees or snorkel out beyond the shallow beach area, where you can swim with sea turtles, sting rays, parrot fish and lobsters. And, be sure to stop at the Wreck Bar and Grill and savor authentic island cuisine and delicious cocktails.

Turtles and Stingrays

This world-renowned 23-acre Cayman Turtle Farm is a marine adventure park that is home to thousands of Green Sea Turtles. They are the largest of the hard-shelled sea turtles and the second largest of all turtle species. Some of them weigh more than 500 pounds.

Another of our famous attractions is Stingray City. Thousands of tourists visit the park each day by boat and walk, swim and snorkel among the incredibly friendly stingrays that roam free in an area of the ocean protected by offshore reefs. The stingrays are large, friendly and love to be petted.

Scuba & Snorkeling

The Cayman Islands’ crystal clear warm water, unbelievable visibility of 60 to 100 feet or more, pristine coral reefs, and marine life make it a world-class destination for snorkelers and divers. Expect to see spotted eagle rays, moray eels, sea turtles, stingrays, and other colorful marine creatures.

Sites like East End’s Babylon, with its colorful rope sponges and black coral, the North Wall, which makes up the edge of the Cayman Trench that runs from Cuba to Central America, and West Bay’s Northwest Point Drop Off, one of the most colorful dive sites in the entire Caribbean, will take you on an adventure through reefs, shipwrecks and more.

No matter what types of things your family and friends like to do, you’ll find it on Grand Cayman. Stop in at Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits for your favorite beverages, and then head out to explore the beautiful Island!
